Ex-MP Rajaiah's DIL, 3 Grandsons Killed in Fire Accident

An alleged fire accident at Congress party senior leader Sircilla Rajaiah's house in Warangal killed his daughter-in-law and her three sons.

Ex-MP Rajaiah is the Congress candidate for the Warangal Lok Sabha by-poll scheduled for November 21. The accident is reported to have happened at Tuesday midnight, but people in the neighbourhood came to know about it only after a few hours and family members were not ready to share any information on the accident for some time.

Rajaiah's daughter-in-law Sarika and grand children, Abhinav, Ayon and Sriyon were burnt alive in the accident. Rajaiah, his son Anil and other family members were home at the time of accident, but no others received any injuries. However, in view of Sarika's troubled relationship with her husband and also father-in-law Rajaiah, her relatives were suspecting that it could not be an accident. Sarika's relatives reportedly requested the police not to move the bodies until they reach the spot.

According to the primary information given by family members, the accident occurred with the explosion of a gas cylinder in the house. A cylinder explosion could have made a big noise, but neighbours said no noise was heard in the area.

Married to Rajaiah's son Anil in 2002, Sarika was complaining about ill-treatment she meted out by husband and father-in-law. She lodged a formal complaint with the police six months back, but the dispute got subsided after some time. She was complaining that Anil was not taking care of her and the children and the family members harassed her.

Warangal Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu is personally monitoring the investigation at the accident spot. Clues teams have been pressed into action.
