Even God Can’t Rectify Faults Committed by KCR: Jana Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy has slammed the unilateral decisions taken by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhara Rao. During the past two years, KCR has committed several mistakes and has not consulted the Opposition on any major issue.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, Reddy said: “I wrote a letter to State Irrigation Minister and Secretary seeking detailed project reports on irrigation projects. But so far, no one has responded. At the time of Telangana formation, KCR promised irrigation facility that enables farmers raise two crops in an year. Two years have elapsed and there is no sign of water supply, he said. Due to the delay and due to the re-designing, the cost of irrigation projects shot up by over Rs 60,000 crore.”

Jana Reddy also slammed the TRS government for compromising on the height of Tummidihetti project. Congress proposed 152 meters height.

He asked: “ KCR didn’t discuss with Maharashtra government on the proposal made by Congress party and agreed for 148 meters height. Is not it a historical fault of Telangana government?” Reddy said being the opposition party, Congress has a responsibility to bring lapses in the system to the Government’s notice.

While finding fault with KCR over targeting individuals, Jana Reddy said: “Whoever commit frauds or violates law will go to jail. But, it’s not good on KCR’s part to threaten public representatives of legal action. KCR should maintain the dignity of the post he is holding.”

Jana Reddy has also suggested KCR to create four districts in Palamuru. There is a persistent demand for carving out Gadwal district.
