ESIC to Offer Medicare to Auto-Rickshaw Drivers from April 1

Hyderabad: A good news for auto-rickshaw drivers of the city.

Beginning April 1, they can avail medical facility from ESIC hospitals in Hyderabad, Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya stated at the MoU signing ceremony to hand over the ESIC hospitals at Sanatnagar and Nacharam to the State government.

He also added that soon others in the unorganized sector life ASHA workers, construction labourers and mid-day meal workers would be able to avail the facility.

Dattareya reiterated that in the upcoming ESIC medical colleges, 40 percent of seats will be reserved for the wards of labourers.
