Rumours that Vijay Devarakonda will be joining hands with ace filmmaker Puri Jagannath, who is basking in the success of ISmart Shankar, was confirmed after actress Charmee Kaur tweeted the news.

Charmee Kaur tweeted, "It's OFFICIAL!!! PC proudly announced our next project with one n only Vijay Deverkonda directed by our Puri Jagannadh ..Lavanya presentation under the banner PURI CONNECTS and PURI JAGANNADH TOURING...More details coming soon .. till than stay tuned !!! Urs Charmee kaur. [sic]"

Now after this announcement the latest news doing the rounds in Tollywood film circles is that late Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor is in talks with Puri for the new movie in question with Vijay Devarakonda. Well if that really happens then her dream to act with Vijay Devarakonda might manifest.

Not just her, many of Sridevi's fans are also looking forward to seeing her Telugu debut and what could be a better vehicle than Puri Jagannath's film.

Puri who has launched many new stars, resurrected heroes from oblivion and delivered some of the biggest hits in Telugu films like Pokiri, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi , Idiot , Businessman, Temper etc., went through a rough patch himself. After being written off , he came back with the super hit film ISmart Shankar and put hero Ram Pothineni's career back on track as well.

After Arjun Reddy became a smashing hit Vijay Devarakonda had become a much sought after and talked about hero across the nation. During an appearance on Bollywood director Karan Johar's show Koffee with Karan, Karan asked her as if she were to wake up as male actor one day, whom would it be and why. She was quick with her response and said Vijay Devarakonda and that she would like do with a film with him and agreed to the fact that the Telugu actor was sexy.

This had set off a series of speculations about how her Telugu debut film would be launched and Vijaya Devarakonda would be the hero. Not just that there were rumours that Vijay's Hindi debut would be launched with Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady.

Now with the announcement of a project that could bring together Vijay and Puri we need to know wait and watch if Janhvi Kapoor would debut in Telugu with the Dear Comrade star.If this comes true many of Sridevi fans would be happy to see their star heroines daughter in Telugu films, from where Sridevi's career took off. It is reported that the unit will soon announce details of the rest of the cast and crew.
