Natural Star Nani is on cloud nine following the success of his latest release Jersey. The film has received an overwhelming response from the audience and critics. Jersey has set the cash registers ringing at the box office with phenomenal collections. The team held a success meet at a luxury hotel in Hyderabad on Sunday night. Actor Rana Daggubati graced the event with his presence as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Nani said that he did not expect the appreciation the movie garnered from the audience. He shared, "I was more emotional while doing the film. Normally, the congratulatory messages stop after 3-4 days of the movie release but I am still receiving the messages. The public is watching the movie again and again. Jersey will always be special to this team. We may turn old but Jersey will never be old. The feeling of pride will remain with us."

Thanking the fans for the immense love and support they lent for the movie, Nani also shared the reason as to why Rana Daggubati turned up as the Chief Guest for the event.

Nani said, "I know how much Rana loved the movie. After watching the movie, Rana called me and was unable to talk for a while as he was choked up."

Rana spoke at the event where he said, "I do not understand some of the basics in life. I don't understand cricket, marriage, girls, kids. In spite of that, I felt emotional watching this movie. I can understand as to how the audience felt after watching the movie. Nani always inspires me. Every time I meet him, I get inspired by the love he shares for the cinema."

Rana also said that Gowtam Tinnanuri has touched the hearts of the people with his storytelling and added that Jersey is merit to the entire team.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey starring Shraddha Srinath in the lead role opposite Nani, released in theatres on April 19.
