Superstar Mahesh Babu has been on the block for a long time. He is the prince of Tollywood. Mahesh Babu is off to Paris for family gateway. His next big release in Telugu is 'Maharshi. He has made the fans impatient over the release of 'Maharshi'. While 'Maharshi' was on the floors, Mahesh Babu had heard two to three scripts. He was planned to work with Sukumar right after 'Maharshi' but called it off due to some creative differences.

Another film was in pipeline which was believed to be with Vikram Kumar. It didn’t work out between them for unknown reasons. The reason behind Mahesh's rejecting the movie is reported as the role of the villain seemed to have a greater impact than the protagonist role. Hence, Mahesh bowed out of the project. Due to the sudden rejection of Mahesh Babu, Vikram took the same script to Nani.

Nani who is impressed with the character has given his nod for the film. It is expected to go on floors shortly. The film is titled to be 'Gang Leader'. Now, it remains to be seen how the film performs well at the box office.

On the professional front, Mahesh's 'Maharshi' will hit the big screens on May 9, 2019. The pre-release event will be held on May 1st @ People's Plaza, Hyderabad. Ongoing reports suggest that Maharshi's pre-release event would have some actors' bytes to enthral the general public. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharshi also stars Pooja and Allari Naresh in lead roles.
