Mega Power star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam is one of the biggest hits in his career. It was released on March 30 in 2018, earning huge accolades and appreciation from all quarters.

It was directed by Sukumar and Ram Charan played the role of a deaf, light-hearted, and jolly villager, Chitti Babu. Actress Samantha was cast opposite him as his love interest. The movie is still etched in people's mind.

Did you know Sukumar had another actress in mind for Samantha's role Rangasthalam? According to sources, Sukumar had thought of roping in Samantha as the female lead opposite Ram Charan but assumed that the actress may not accept the project as she got married. However, when he narrated the script to the actress, it came as a surprise to the director when Samantha okayed the project.

If at all, Samantha had rejected the movie, Sukumar planned to approach Anupam Parameshwara for the role. Luckily, she said 'Yes' to Rangasthalam and we loved the crackling chemistry of Chitti Babu and Rama Lakshmi. There are no regrets for Samantha or Sukumar as Rangasthalam emerged as one of the highest grossing films of 2018.

Meanwhile, both Charan and Samantha are busy with their respective projects. Samantha is basking in the success of 'Majili' which is performing well at the box office. Ram Charan has been caught up with 'RRR' which is being helmed by Rajamouli. We wish Ram Charan very good luck for 'RRR'.
