Superstar Mahesh Babu treated his million of fans on an auspicious Telugu New Year day—Ugadi by unveiling the teaser of his upcoming film Maharshi. The teaser has far garnered 15 million views on YouTube and still counting and trending on social media. The teaser has received overwhelming reception from all quarters. According to sources, 'Maharshi' teaser has created a non-Baahubali record by registering 15 million views. Earlier, the film was supposed to release on April 5 but it got pushed to May 9 due to delay in post-production work.

The reason behind delay of 'Maharshi', trade analysts say, could be Dil Raju following the success sentiment. Way back in 2007, Allu Arjun's Parugu was produced by Dil Raju which was a commercial hit at the box office. Dil Raju is eyeing the release of ‘Maharshi’ on the same day could bring same fortune for Maharshi too at the box office. For the first time, Dil Raju is jointly producing 'Maharshi' with PVP and Aswani Dutt.

Talking about teaser, moviebuffs who watched the teaser are claiming that 'Maharshi' teaser scenes has a mix of 'Bharat Ane Nenu' and 'Srimanthudu'. If you recall, one of the best scenes in Mahesh Babu's 'Bharat Ane Nenu' was the press conference which was the highlight of the movie. Mahesh Babu has repeated the same scene in 'Maharshi' teaser. This scene was particularly pointed out by one of the movie buffs on his Twitter page. Take a look at the tweet:

As per buzz, Allari Naresh portrays a crucial role in the film. Mahesh Babu will be seen in a never before seen avatar with full beard. Rumours are rife that Pooja Hegde may be seen as the female lead opposite Allari Naresh and not Mahesh Babu, if latest reports doing the rounds are any indication. Our doubts will get cleared only after the film opens in theatres. The film is set for a grand release on May 9. 'Maharshi' is the tale of love and friendship.
