Superstar Mahesh Babu is grabbing the headlines for all the good reasons. On the one hand, Mahesh's wax statue will soon beput to display at the AMB cinemas which is owned by him before moving it to the famous Madame Tussauds Museum in Singapore.

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is gearing up for the release of his next titled 'Maharshi' in worldwide theatres on May 9.

Earlier, 'Maharshi' was supposed to release on April 5 but the makers pushed the release date to May to cash in on the long summer holidays and avoid the election season. The reason behind their postponement was also said to be a delay in post-production work.

Mahesh Babu fans who have been waiting for a long time for the movie’s release are pretty excited. They are going to have a big feast within a couple days from now. According to reliable sources, the first single from Mahesh's 'Maharshi' will officially release on March 29.

The fans of the Telugu superstar have already started countdown for the song. The music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Mahesh Babu plays a college goer in the film. His college mate in 'Maharshi' is none other Allari Naresh who will appear in a prominent role. It was speculated Mahesh's friend Allari Naresh would die in the film from which point the movie will take a different turn.

'Maharshi' is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and co-produced by Nag Ashwni and Dil Raju. For the first time, Pooja Hegde will play Mahesh’s love interest in 'Maharshi.
