Undoubtedly, Superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Maharishi' is the most awaited film of the year. Rumours about postponement of the film has turned to be true. Today, Dil Raju producer of 'Maharshi' has spoke in a press conference regarding the release date of the movie. 'Maharshi' which was earlier planned to be released on April 25 has changed its release date to May 9. A source has spilled the beans behind the shifted release date, stating that it was due to the Lok Sabha Elections of 2019. Hang on, guys, the story didn't end yet. Mahesh Babu and the filmmakers would be eyeing the historic date of May 9. This date has something special which most of the people may not be aware of.

If you may recall, Few years back, on one side, Chiranjeevi's featured 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' was released and turned out to be one of the all-time superhit film in Tollywood on May 9, and on the other, Keerthy Suresh starred 'Mahanati' was also released last year on same date, which became the fifth highest grossing film of 2018. It was produced by Nag Ashwini who happens to be the co-producer of Mahesh's 'Maharshi'. Latest news doing the rounds Is that Mahesh's Maharishi is going to repeat history of Chiru's ‘Jagadekaveerudu Athilokasundari’ at the box office. If we are to go by the magic of that day, Maharshi is also going to become another blockbuster hit after Bharat Ane Nenu in Mahesh’s career. It is a little early to talk about Mahesh or the collections of ‘Maharshi’.

Dil Raju in a press conference said that, everyone will walk out of theatres with great pride after watching ‘Maharshi’. The movie is for people of all age groups.

Allari Naresh has been roped to play a prominent role, and is likely to play a college mate of Mahesh Babu. Pooja Hegde will be seen as the female lead alongside Mahesh Babu.
