Malayalam actor Mammootty has become the center of attraction on social media. Thanks to his marvellous performance in 'Yatra'. Mammootty was seen essaying the role of late Andhra Pradesh chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Dr YSR biopic (not in its entirety) was loved by all sections of audience who showered praises and blessings on director Mahi V Raghav for bringing out the story of legendary personality. Dr YSR fans could not stop gushing about the movie.

This was the second biopic in Telugu that became a major hit after Keerthy Suresh's 'Mahanati'. Though, 'Yatra' faced severe competition from newly released Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'NTR Kathanayakudu' the latter failed to dethrone 'Yatra' from top charts.

The film, which was released on February 8 was made in Telugu and dubbed into Malayalam. The Malayalam version of the movie still continues to roar at the box office. Recently, the movie touched the Rs 50 Cr mark in Mollywwod alone. The movie has an impressive cast including the likes of Jagapathi Babu, Suhasini and Anasuya bharadwaj in key roles. The actors won accolades for their performance and their share of acting skills also helped the movie taste commercial success. According to sources, 'Yatra' is getting ready to be released on Amazon Prime Video. However, an official release date on Amazon Prime is awaited.

If sources are to be believed, Mammootty's 'Yatra' has managed to collect a worldwide share of Rs 8.81 Cr at the box office.
