NTR Mahanayakudu Gets Worst Rating Despite Yellow Media Promotions

Biopics are turning out to be massive box office hits. Also, they are the flavour of the season. So far, many biopics have released in Telugu and Hindi—Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Mahanati (Savitri), MS Dhoni (Dhoni), Yatra (YSR) and Kathnayakudu (NTR biopic) which theatres theatres worldwide. If you take a look at this list, all these biopics have created a mark at the box office.

Today, we are here to discuss about the two recent biopics which made the rounds in Telugu filmnagar circles—NTR Mahanayakudu and Yatra are creating ripples on social media. Recently, Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s life story titled 'Yatra' was released in theatres. It earned positive response from movie buffs. The movie is doing unstoppable business at the box office. Currently, the movie is heading towards its third week and continues to set the box office on fire. Sources inform us that audiences are thronging theatres to know the story of the late people’s leader Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, thanks to positive word of mouth from the audience. 'Yatra' has become a massive hit and audience too have contributed in a big way to the film’s success. Without audience support, it is difficult for any movie to have a long run in theatres. 'Yatra', with its unbiased approach appealed to a large section of the audience who went gaga over the film. Yet yellow media channels dubbed the film as a dud. They made the audience ignore the masterpiece which had all the essential elements to make it a commercial hit.

Malayalam actor Mammootty who played the lead role is on a high after the blockbuster success of 'Yatra'. He is a non-Telugu actor but pulled the audience to the theatres with his spellbinding performance. The content and direction too was much talked about.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna aka Balayya's NTR Mahanayakudu opened in theatres across the globe today. The film has received poor ratings and bad reviews from movie buffs. It is being said that Balakrishna is giving free tickets for the audience to watch the movie. People are posting funny tweets about him and they are trolling him very badly on social media.

As per the tweet, 'NTR Mahanayakudu' has earned the worst rating any Telugu film has ever received. 'NTR Mahanayakudu' is rated 1.7 out of 10 despite yellow media promotions. The competitor to 'NTR Mahanayakudu' is 'Yatra' which received a 9.4 out of 10 on the same site. Ironically, 'NTR Mahanayakudu' failed to beat 'Yatra' in terms of IMDb ratings.
