Uri Breaks Overtakes Baahubali Record At Box Office

Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri—The Surgical Strike, which hit theatres on January 11 is doing unstoppable business at the box office. The movie has created history and smashed every possible record right, left and centre. Vicky started the year with a bang of URI which has been declared a juggernaut at the box office.

Last year too was a great year for Vicky who delivered two hits Raazi and Sanju which were massive hits in his career. With Uri, Vicky has become a name to reckon with in the industry with all his movies ruling the box office. He proved his mettle yet again that he can pull off any role easily with sheer hardwork and dedication. The movie has been directed by Aditya Dhar and features Yami Gautam as the female lead.

It has been more than one month since URI released in theatres. The film is still roaring at the box office by surpassing the highest and toughest record set by Prabhas's Baahubali. Uri has been fetching more money than new releases in Bollywood—Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi which opened amid high expectations. Thanks to the powerful content and gripping direction,the word of mouth has been positive and helping the movie garner footfalls. Uri is a patriotic action flick based on the Indian Army’s surgical strikes (2016) on Pakistan Administered Kashmir as a retaliation for the Uri attack.

The movie also stars Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina, Rajit Kaput and Kriti Kulhari in vital roles. Watch this space for updates.
