Superstar Rajinikanth is riding high on the success of Petta which is still making big noises at the box office. He is overjoyed with the back to back success of 2.O. Petta has turned out to be a huge money spinner at the box office.

2.O has emerged as a massive hit at the box office. It was released on November 29 and did unstoppable business at the ticket window. 2.O created a record with an astounding figure of Rs 100 Crore which it earned on its opening day from all languages. Finally, Rajinikanth can heave a huge sigh of relief after 2.O reaping profits for producers. His last two movies-Kaali and Kabali were completely rejected by movie buffs and the film fizzled out at the ticket window. 2.O shattered every possible record and a few of Rajini's own movies. Sadly, the film failed to surpass Rajamouli's Baahubali record which still holds numero uno position.

2.0 has turned out to be the highest grosser in Tamil Nadu after beating Vijay's Sarkar and Rajinikanth's own Kaala. 2.O managed to impress the audiences thanks to Rajinikanth's performance and visual effects. The closing box office collection of this Rajinikanth- Akshay Kumar starrer stands at Rs. 713.50 crores worldwide.
