Akhil, Ram Charan

2019 has not started off as a great year for big budget movies—Vinaya Vidheya Rama and NTR Kathanayakudu. Akhil's forthcoming flick Majnu is making right noises since it has been announced and it is going to change it all. Trade analysts predict that Mr Majnu is sure to be a blockbuster hit. Mr Majnu trailer, teaser and posters have received immense appreciation and love from several quarters. A dozen movies locked the first month of 2019 for the theatrical release of their movies. In the last two weeks, Big budget movies which include F2, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Petta and Viswasam were released. Then on, the battle of screens war is on between the distributors.

According to sources, the makers of Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Mr Majnu are at loggerheads over screens of the movie. It is a known fact that Charan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama was released in the second week of January. Unfortunately, it has faced rejection at the box office since its release. Akhil's Mr Majnu is set to release in approximately 1500 screens across the globe which is likely to push Ram Charan's underperforming Vinaya Vidheya Rama out of theatres.

This time, Akkineni Akhil would have changed his strategy in promoting Mr Majnu. Earlier, his father Akkineni Nagarjuna used to be the chief guest at his film events and also tweet extensively about the movie. Remember how Nag introduced each character in Akhil’s last movie Hello? If you recall Akhil has called Ram Charan and Jr NTR to promote Mr Majnu. Ram Charan launched one of the songs of Mr.Majnu. On the other hand, Jr NTR was the presiding guest of honour at Mr Majnu pre-release event. It remains to be seen if these stars promotion would help Mr Majnu pass the box office test with flying colors.Stay tuned to sakshipost for updates.
