2019 January is expected to be a blockbuster month with image theatrical release of movies featuring two Tollywood biggies-Ram Charan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Venkatesh's F2. On the other hand, Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta dubbed version also joined the Sankranthi race. We all know that F2 and Petta have opened on a fantatsic note at the box office. One question doing the rounds on social media circles is which movie is the winner of Sankranthi 2019. It is tough to predict as all the movies are running houseful. Vinaya Vidheya Rama: Ram Charan's recent outing VVR released last friday but failed to gather love and attention from the audiences. Due to poor reviews, the film has turned out to be a dud at the box office. The movie had great openings on first few days with a gross of Rs 45 Cr. The movie collection on second and third day saw a decline by huge margins at the box office. Ongoing reports suggest that Vinaya Vidheya Rama failed to evoke the expected response at the box office.

F2: Victory Venkatesh is back with F2. He enthralled the audiences with the film which is roaring at the box office. Sankranthi is double bonanza for Telugu movies and actors. Any movie release during the festive time reaps huge dividends. Back to F2, the film has received a thumping response from all quarters. Since the film is garnering amazing positive word of mouth, F2 is expected to break few records set by other movies at the box office. The film is leading ahead of Telugu releases. So far, the movie has managed to earn Rs 20 Cr just in three days at the box office. While coming to the overseas box office, it will cross $one million mark by today.

Petta: Without doubt, it is celebration time for Rajini fans. The Kollywood Thalaiva ended 2018 on a successful note with 2.0. Now, he has given another reason with Petta for his fans to celebrate. Rajini's Petta is facing tough competition from Ajith's Viswasam at the box office. As of now, Petta and Viswasam are doing incredible business at the box office. While coming to Telugu box office, at the time of Petta release, the movie got fewer screens due to unavailability of theatres. Latest reports reveal that Petta has replaced Vinaya Vidheya Rama in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. So far, the movie has managed to collect Rs 15 cr from the Telugu regions.

Here comes the biggest challenge--to decide which movie is the real winner of 2018. Which movie really has the potential to emerge as the blockbuster hit of this month. Is it Vinaya Vidheya Rama, F2 and Petta? Going by the trade reports, we guess F2 is the biggest hit among the sankranti releases, thanks to its rich content.
