Kannada actor Yash has increased his fan following in other regions apart from Kannada, thanks to his latest release KGF. His brilliant performance in KGF is being much talked about. The film has turned out to be a profitable venture at the box office. KGF was released around Christmas last year and has done fantastic business by end of its theatrical run.It is the first Kannada film to cross Rs 200 Cr mark as well as to be released in different languages-Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. KGF has been declared the fourth highest grosser in terms of dubbed Hindi film only after Baahubali series and Rajinikanth's 2.0. KGF has reached another milestone and earned Rs 40 Crores of Hindi version after 21 days of its release. This piece of news was shared by film critic Taran Adarsh:

KGF is the second highest grossing Kannada film but did not cross Rs 100 crores as it settled down with Rs 75 crores globally. Latest news doing the rounds is that KGF has been pulled down from Telugu and Tamil regions due to release of big ticket movies—Petta, Vinaya Vidheya Rama and F2. If a latest buzz doing the rounds on social media is any indication, Yash's KGF could have made a lifetime collections of Rs 20 Crores approximately in Telugu regions alone. However, official figures from trade experts are yet to be out.

KGF is directed by Prashanth Neel. Following the success of the film, the director has been working on a sequel to kick-start the shoot of the movie in the month of March. KGF stars Srinidhi Shetty, Achyuth and Anantnag in key roles.
