Superstar Aamir Khan is coping from the lacklustre performance of his film Thugs of Hindostan at the box office which has cost approximately Rs 240 Cr. Thugs of Hindostan released amidst a huge hype, but failed to create magic at the box office. Since the very opening day, the movie has been rejected by all sections of audiences due to its sloppy script even though the movie had a stellar cast of Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina among few others.

But looks like luck is on Aamir Khan's Side. If you are wondering why? Though Thugs of Hindostan was a big dud at the box office and disappointed Aamir's fans, Thugs of Hindostan made its producers happy as it reaped profits through its digital and satellite rights sale. Thugs of Hindostan was produced by Yash Raj Films and was directed by Dhoom fame Vijay Krishna Acharya. If trade sources are to be believed, Thugs of Hindostan has earned Rs 100 Cr share from box office globally. The filmmakers sold the satellite rights and digital rights of Thugs of Hindostan for Rs 140 Cr.

At the same time, music rights and other merchandise got them another 15 Crores in their pockets. Aamir Khan is the only superstar who enjoys a super fan following in China. Lately, Thugs of Hindostan is going to be screened for China and they have sold the film to the China market for Rs 110 Cr, thereby adding total profit from the sales of Thugs Of Hindostan to 125+ crores.

Thanks to Aamir Khan's business circuit across the globe and his work recognised and appreciated by his global fans, has helped the producers to make profits even from his flop movie.
