Gone are the days where Telugu actors suggested names of leading ladies to producers of their movies. Despite the presence of talented Telugu actresses like Keerthy Suresh, Tamannaah, Samantha, Anushka and Kajal Tollywood director still have a special soft corner for Bollywood actresses.

Superstar Mahesh Babu seems to be following the philosophy of Pawan Kalyan of working with just one actress in one movie and not repeating them. Rumor mills has it that Mahesh Babu could be trying to take his image to the next level by casting Bollywood actress in his movies. Mahesh Babu was last seen in Bharat Ane Nenu which became one of the biggest hits of 2018. He was paired up with Bollywood actress Kiara Advani. Of late, Kiara is creating waves in Telugu films.

Mahesh Babu wrapped up the shoot of Maharshi in the last week of December. Reports inform us that Mahesh Babu is looking forward to moving on to his next project. For sometime now, we have been hearing that Mahesh Babu's nezt movie will be with Sukumar. The Mahesh Babu-Sukumar film is all set to go on floors in the month of June. Lately, filmmakers are finalising the cast and crew for the movie. If reports doing the rounds are any indication, Sukumar has decided to feature a Bollywood beauty opposite Mahesh Babu.

She is none other than Salman Khan's Bharat co-star Katrina Kaif. It remains to be seen how much filmmakers are gonna pay her as remuneration for a Mahesh Babu movie. If all goes as planned then this would he Katrina's third movie in Telugu. she had earlier worked in Telugu for Malleswari alongside Venkatesh and another with Nandamuri Balakrishna. The Balakrishna film was titled Allari Pidugu which did reasonably well at the ticket window. It would be lovely to see Katrina and Mahesh in a single frame. Hope these rumours turn true.
