Makers of the film treated fans of the superstar on December 31 by releasing the second look poster from the movie. There is a buzz on social media circles that Maharshi second look poster beat first look poster of the same movie which was released on Mahesh Babu's birthday. However, both the movie posters have received much love and adulation from movie buffs and fans.

Ever since Mahesh Babu's poster went viral, speculations are doing the rounds about his role and the movie. Is Mahesh Babu playing dual roles in the movie? Maharshi is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju. Pooja Hegde will be seen playing playing Mahesh's love interest along with Allari Naresh in a pivotal role. Maharshi is slated to be released in April.
