Congratulatory messages are pouring in for Kannada Rocking star Yash whose latest offering KGF: Chapter-1 is having a dream run at the box office. The film is on recording breaking spree at the Kannada box office. The movie released alongside big budget movies like Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, Dhanush's Maari 2 and Varun Tej's Antariksham 9000 KMPH. Except for KGF, all other movies have underperformed at the ticket window.

The film was loved by the audiences and appreciated by critics. Audiences who watched KGF can't stop gushing about the movie on social media networks. The movie has created a huge buzz amongst cinebuffs ever since its release. KGF has become a trendsetter at the box office. It has shattered all the other movie records to emerge as the highest grossing Kannada film of 2018.

If trade sources are to be believed, KGF is the first film from Sandalwood to cross $200k at the American box office.

Coming to domestic box office, the movie's collections saw a solid growth On Christmas holiday and the film is estimated to have collected around Rs 11 Crores approximately on the fifth day at the box office. Exact figures are yet to be known.
