KGF Review: Yash Truly A Rocking Star
KGF, one of the most awaited period drama set in the 1980s involves a protagonist waging a war against opressors. The film narrates the saga of 17000-old history. the film is directed by Prashanth Neel and features Kannada rocking star Yash in the lead role. KGF also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Nassar and Ramya Krishnan in key roles. Titled K.G.F: Chapter 1, the film is released in multiple Indian languages.
KGF Plot: A journalist retells the saga of a boy, who wanted to be known as the most powerful and richest man after his death. Thus begins his journey from Bombay streets to the KGF fields. The film KGF is one of the most talked about Kannada films which released amidst great hype. Now, does the film deliver on its promise to the best? Does Yash's KGF live up to the expectations of the audience? Read on to find out...
Mind you guys, this is Chapter 1. So the first half of the movie is quite long but pacy enough to keep you hooked.

What works for the film?
Well, to begin with Yash's performance itself. How Yash evolves from an ambitious boy, Rocky, to accomplishing his mission is beautifully captured in the screenplay. There are a few whistle worthy dialogues and scenes where your heart skips a beat! Each character is intriguing and generates enough interest to keep you glued to your seats. The supporting cast have each delivered their bit in making the film stand out. The cinematography is top notch and so is the visualisation of the filmmaker which deserves a thunderous round of applause.
And as you reach the end of the movie, rather Chapter 1, you can't help but crave for more. This gives you a sense of Deja Vu. If you haven't guessed it yet, yes Baahubali! Why Kattappa killed Baahubali made the audience wait with bated breath to rush to theatres when the conclusion was released after nearly two years. and KGF makers have accomplished the same! The KGF Chapter 1 script leaves the audience asking for more. A masterpiece, if we can call it that!
