Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi Rao Hydari is a Hyderabadi, but she made her acting debut in Bollywood. She hails from Hyderabad but she was brought up in North India. Aditi played a female lead in Mani Ratnam's Cheliyaa. Though she was a Telugu girl, she made her late entry in Tollywood with Sammohanam along with Sudheer Babu. The film was directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti. Her upcoming film Antariksham is slated for release on December 21. During the Blenders Pride fashion tour, she made heads turn as the show-stopper. She also interacted with Sakshi and shared her thoughts.

Here are excerpts from the interview:

Movies:

"I was happy to have been introduced in Telugu under the direction of Mohan Krishna Indraganti, I really enjoyed working with him. My upcoming film Antariksham is ready for release. We worked very hard for this film. The movie was started in the month of May, hot summer days. But we never felt that when we worked in the movie. Director Sankalp had a vision and he was very clear about what he wanted.

As a Singer:

I am not a singer, neither have I learnt music. I know singing as my mother was a singer. AR Rahman had asked me to sing at a live concert and the song was heard by music director GV Prakash, who asked me to sing a song. But I evaded saying I was busy. When he again approached me, I had to sing and I hope the audience like it.

I like Period films

I am very excited about the biographies of MS Subbalakshmi, Bala Saraswathi and Singer Gauhar jaan. I like period films, I wanted to do a movie of Queen Gayatri Devi. I am also interested to reprise the role of Bhagamathi from Hyderabad.

Fashion/Fitness:

Fashion changes, it can be bought but style is not like that. Every individual should have a style. I am a foodie and should be a fitness freak. I dance from my childhood and also I do meditation during the shooting. But I have to workout a lot.

I miss Hyderabad:

My relatives stay in Hyderabad. I am the only one in the family who was brought up in North India with my mother. I like spending time with my brothers, grand fathers, aunties and uncles. In Mumbai, I live alone and miss my family. I also miss the Hyderabad food. Haleem is my favourite dish. I don't mind eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I feel proud when my co-stars in Mumbai say that Hyderabad is a beautiful city.
