The shooting of Mahesh Babu's Maharshi is on full swing. After completing the first schedule in New York, the movie team has already started the second schedule. Mahesh Babu will be seen as the CEO of a New York based company. Later he returns to a village and teachers farmers about organic farming. What he does in between forms the crux of the story.

Interestengly, earlier Nani had signed a movie with debutant Kishorudu. Apparently, both Maharshi and Nani's stories are familiar. The star had no idea about Maharshi story and okayed the script. Now, it become a huge trouble for Nani. His film too deals with organic and modern farming. After he came to know the story of Maharshi, Nani has repeatedly backed out of the film with Kishorudu. But the Natural star has promised to work with him if he comes with an interesting script. This film would be produced under the 14 Reels banner, if the project is materialized.

Currently, Nani is working for a film called Jersey. The shooting of the film is underway and the first look will be revealed soon. The actor also announced his upcoming long delayed project with director Vikram K Kumar. This untitled film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The pre production work has been started and the movie will go to sets on February 2019. This will be Nani's 24th film.
