The much awaited Super star Rajinikanth and action star Akshay Kumar starrer '2.0' hit theaters on Thursday. This time Rajini is back with a bang after his Kaala was declared a dud at the box office. The movie has opened across the globe in 10,000 screens, with positive reviews. twelve lakh tickets for 2.0 have been sold till now. This Shankar film was released in 800 screens in Telangana and AP. The film has already made Rs 340 crores business before its release.

The Movie collected enough money from satellite rights, digital rights and theatrical distribution rights. According reports Lyca Productions sold Satellite rights of the movie for a whopping 120 crores, while all versions of Digital Rights (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) are said to be sold at sixty crores.

The movie’s distribution rights have also been sold in the Northern Belt, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. Telugu rights are bought by Dil Raju. Advance booking of tickets for this film are also making several new records. According to buzz, 2.0 is going to break existing records. Akshay Kumar is making his debut in Southern film Industry with this prestigious movie, in the role of an antagonist. 2.0 is the sequel to Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai starrer 'Robo' released in the year 2010. This movie was made on a humongous budget of 600 crores. Director Shankar said that they used cutting edge technology, graphics and VFX for the movie.
