This year, Deverakonda tasted phenomenal success with Geetha Govindam which turned out to be a huge profitable venture at the box office.

Post Geetha Govindam, Deverakonda offered NOTA which failed to gather love and attention of moviebuffs. To bag the same success as well as to entertain his fans. Deverakonda released Taxiwala which opened in theatres today. Although Taxiwala was hit by piracy, the film has managed to gain positive response from all quarters.

Taxiwala may not become a superhit like Geetha Govindam or Arjun Reddy. However, the film is expected to do decent business in theatres. Deverakonda has promoted Taxiwala with a different strategy to fetch the profits. He had invited Allu Arjun for Taxiwala audio launch event to ensure a wider reach. Coincidentally, it was produced by Allu Aravind father of Allu Arjun under Geetha Arts.

Latest we hear is that Deverakonda is eyeing Mahesh Babu's director. We know that Mahesh Babu worked with countless directors but only one director gave two blockbusters hit to Mahesh Babu. By now, you must know who we are talking about. He is none other than Koratala Siva who is basking in the success of his latest outing Bharat Ane Nenu. If reports are to be believed, Vijay Deverakonda’s next film would be with Koratala Siva. The Telugu director is perhaps busy in scripting. Deverakonda's film with Koratala Siva will go on floors in the early next year of 2019. More details about this film are awaited.
