Yatra Completes Shoot, Director Is All Praise For Mammootty

Yatra biopic updates: Following the wrap-up of the shooting of 'Yatra', the upcoming biopic of mass leader, late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy, director Mahi attributed the dedication and ability of Malayalam film industry's Mega star Mammootty for the successful completion. Mammootty played the all-important role of the former Chief Minister in Yatra, which is set to be released on December 21.

Produced by Vijay Challa and Shashi Devi Reddy, the movie showcases the magical journey of Dr.YSR between 1999 and 2004, when he took out a 1,400 kilometre walkathon and later went on to become the AP Chief Minister.

Recently, on the occasion of the completion of the biopic's shoot, director Mahi was all praise for Mammootty. "Despite working in more than 390 films and winning 3 national awards, Mammootty is a great professional and a wonderful person to be with and work with," he said.

In a fitting message to the Malayalam star, the director said in his Facebook post: "Its the end of our Yatra with Mammootty....390+ movies, 3 national awards and worked with 60+ debutant directors. More than these , he is a great mentor and a wonderful human being. He has nothing to prove. He can simply walk away into the sunset and still remain a legend. It is our tradition and culture to respect our guest. Sure, you can criticise him and tear him apart if he has failed as an actor or has not lived up to your expectation. As a critic and audience, you are entitled to it. But here is an actor who
