Mahesh To Follow Prabhas, Period Film On Cards Next?  

Superstar Mahesh Babu is one of the finest actors in Tollywood. He is the most loved celebrity down in south. It seems like Mahesh Babu is following the footprints of Prabhas.As you all know, Prabhas captivated the audience with the blockbuster Baahubali. The talk about Baahubali refuses to die down. And with every new big-ticket film releasing, trade analysts compare the collections of the film with Baahubali which has become a trend-setter of sorts.

Latest we hear is that Mahesh Babu's next film would be a period drama. Mahesh Babu will be soon team up with Director Sukumar for this. They were together for 1 - Nenokkadine which panned at the box office. This time, Mahesh and Sukumar are basking in the success of their past films-Bharat Ane Nenu and Rangasthalam, respectively. Mahesh and Sukumar are continuously scouting for good scripts which will have potential to create a record at the box office. It has learnt that Sukumar has been working on another period film after Rangasthalam. It is being speculated that the film will be set in the back drop of 19th century.

Period dramas are currently the flavour of the season in Tollywood. Rangasthalam and Baahubali, both were period dramas as well as become huge money-spinners at the box office. Sukumar is taking extra caution with Mahesh Babu's script so that he doesn't repeat the same mistake like 1- Nenokkadine. Mahesh Babu-Sukumar's film will go on floors by early next year - 2019.
