Why Keerthy Suresh Said No To NTR
Keerthy Suresh won millions of hearts by essaying the role of yesteryear actress Savitri in the latter's biopic Mahanati. It was a female oriented film without any male leads yet became one of the most acclaimed films of this year.
Thanks to director Nag Ashwin, who brought the real-life story of Savitri in front of audiences. Keerthy Suresh deserves a huge round of applause for her noteworthy performance in the film.
Earlier, Keerthy Suresh had worked in several Telugu films like-Nenu Sailaja and Nenu Local both of which did good business at the box office. Following the success of Mahanati, actors, producers are keen to join hands with the actress. It is a known fact that a biopic on the late actor-turned-politician NTR is on cards and film is on the sets. Bala Krishan will be reprising the role of his father, actor and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. While Rana is expected to play Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, Sumanth will play Akkineni Nageshwar Rao while Rakul Preet will be in Sridevi's role. The makers of NTR biopic had also approached Keerthy Suresh to join the dream cast of this film as well to play Savitri in NTR biopic titled Kathanayakudu. Guess what? Keerthy Suresh rejected the offer to play Savitri's role for valid reasons.
It is not because of a fat pay cheque or call sheet. She has gathered huge attention from audiences in Mahanati in Savitri. She is in a state of fear that she would lose the respect she has gained because of the film if she fails to perform the same way in Mahanati. She doesn't want to remove the effectiveness of her role from the minds of the audiences. Isn't it sweet guys?
Meanwhile, Keerthy is currently busy with a slew of Tamil Projects. It is being said that Keerthy Suresh could play a female lead in Rajamouli's next most awaited film. The film stars Ram Charan and NTR which would go on floors by end of next month.
