Nithya Menen First Choice To Play Savitri in Mahanati  

Talented actress Nithya Menen has already cast her spell on the Telugu audience by portraying various roles in films like-Ishq, Ok Bangaram, S/O Satyamurthy, Janatha Garage among others. She has carved a niche for herself in Tollywood with her acting skills and charming looks.

She was last seen in Vijay Deverakonda's Geetha Govindam which turned out to be a profitable venture at the box office. She was seen in a cameo but managed to impress her fans and audiences with her noteworthy performance in the film.

During a recent interaction with the media, Nithya Menen revealed an unknown trivia  about Mahanati. She stated to a leading tabloid, Mahanati was first offered to Nithya Menen and asked to play legendary actress Savirtri's role. However, she had politely refused the offer citing personal reasons. Later, Keethy Suresh was zeroed in to play the titular role in the film. Mollywood actor Dulquer Salman was seen playing Gemini Ganesh, the husband of Savitri in the film. Mahanati showcased the real-life story of Savitri and her struggles. How Savitri fate changed after she got married to Gemini Ganeshan forms the crux of the story.
