Veteran actor Mohan Babu is following in the footprints of actor Jagapathi Babu. Mohan Babu and Jagapathi Babu used to be lead actors in Telugu films which were released in 80s and 90s.

Few years back, Jagapathi Babu started his second innings as villain for top star films. Jagapathi Babu was first seen as a villain in Balakrishna's Legend. Since then, there is no turning back as a baddie in Telugu films as he is reaching greater heights in his career.

Now we hear that Mohan Babu is all set to play a villain in big ticket films. Sorry to hurt you guys it is not a Telugu film but it will be dubbed into Telugu too. If sources are to be believed, Mohan Babu is all set to be seen as a baddie in Suriya's untitled film. Reports suggest that Suriya has recommended Mohan Babu for this central role saying only the senior Telugu actor can do justice to that role. Mohan Babu is yet to sign the project though. Let's wait for an official announcement about his role in the film from Mohan Babu or the filmmakers.

The principal shooting of the film will begin by end of this year. On the other side, the makers of the movie are looking to fill the other cast members and crew for this film.

Mohan Babu's last film was Gayatri where he was featured in a lead role. The film became a dud at the box office due to lack of sloppy script. Mohan Babu would like to enthrall the audiences in his new avatar. It remains to be seen if he can make a splash at the box office like Jagapathi Babu. If he does click the there would be competition between the two over villain role.
