Chennai: Renowned filmmakers Mani Ratnam was rushed to the Apollo hospital in Chennai after he complained of chest pain. However, there were reports that he had been admitted.

The latest we hear is that the Apollo Hospital officials have rejected such rumours saying his condition is stable and that he was not admitted.

"He had come to the hospital for a check-up. His condition is fine. He has not been admitted," a statement by one of the hospital members said.

The maverick director has several films like Thiruda Thiruda, Alay Payudhay, Roja, Kannathil Muthamithal, Mouna Ragam among others to his credit.
