Gone are the days when you endlessly waited for Diwali and Ramzan to watch your favourite Bollywood actor's film. The average Indian does not wait for the Friday theatre release any more. It is the digital platforms that have dented the Box Office figures, creating an alternate platform for digital entertainment and opening doors for new-age filmmakers and actors.

From Nerve-wrenching thrillers and high-school drama to real-life stories and non-stop humour, we have it all in the form of some classy web-series streaming day-in and day-out in 2018. It all started with Netflix Originals, and it does not mean Amazon Prime video is behind. Here are some of the coolest Indian web-series that you should not miss. If you haven't already watched any of the following series, you are missing out on the most entertaining web-series streaming right now:

Sacred Games

The lead star Saif Ali Khan is an honest police officer, his past brings him to a fugitive, notorious criminal played by another lead actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Radhika Apte, an investigative agent, tries to unlock a threat poised to destroy the city of Mumbai. The crime drama will captivate you until the deadlock is broken. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, Sacred Games has earned 9.3/10 rating on IMDB. The rating says it all.

Breathe

The crime thriller web-series, premiered at the beginning of the year. The show stars R. Madhavan, Amit Sadh and Hrishikesh Joshi among others. When ordinary men come across abnormal situations, a few get intimidated while the otherd don't. Amit Sadh plays a cop who tries to bring to the fore the men behind a series of unconnected deaths.

Girl in the City Chapter 3

A Sequel to "Girl in the City", an aspiring fashion designer's fate lies is determined by her own misdeeds and experiments. Starring Karanvir Sharma, Rajat Barmecha and Mithila Palkar, Girl in the City Chapter 3 has received an IMDB rating of 8.6/10.

It Happened In Hong Kong

Two strangers meet each other, while on separate solo trips to Hong Kong, leading to an adorable relationship. The new experience transforms into a never-ending one with a gateway to new accomplishments. Definitely a great watch. It Happened In Hong Kong IMDB rating: 8.0/10

The series presents a top-angle view of corporate life, its intricacies and the best part, the funny side. Indian digital content moghul Sumeet Vyas wrote the drama surrounding the "Droneacharya CEO", who is in a quest to save his organization. The Official CEOgiri has received 6.5/10 rating on IMDB.
