Tollywood actress Keerthy Suresh and Samantha who have broken many stereotypes, have proved more than once that they are not bound by limitations of genres and script. In other words, they have it in them to rise to the occasion and turn out a fitting performance in any genre.

Keerthy Suresh's last film Mahanati did marvelous business at the box office, apart from earning her laurels for a stellar performance. Mahanati is a biopic of the great icon of yesteryears, Savitri and traces her rise to stardom. The ups and down of her turbulent marriage and her relationship with her husband Gemini Ganesh are sketched in the film.

According to sources, Mahanati has been selected for Indian Film Festival of Melbourne-2018. The film festival holds an array of screenings, competitions, panel discussions and other activities planned for the Australian audience.

On the other hand, Mahanati was also also nominated under the competition section for Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Role. It is worth mentioning that Keerthy Suresh has been nominated as best actress for Mahanati while Samantha has been picked for the Best supporting role in the film. Mahanati has been declared as the best film of the year in Indian Film Festival of Melbourne-2018. Mahanati is helmed by Nag Ashwin and was released in Telugu and Tamil languages.

Samantha and Keerthy are over the moon for being part of the achievement. Samantha has signed a film with her husband Naga Chaitanya which is yet to be launched. It is learnt that it might take a couple of months for the launch of the film. As Naga Chaitanya is busy with Savyasachi and Shailaja Reddy Alludu.
