Sanju Beats Padmavaat On IMBD : Two Bollywood films released this year are among the most loved by the audience. Your guess is as good as mine. We are referring to Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat and Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju which are top contenders to sweep awards. Padmaavat and Sanju turned out to be huge money spinners as well as commercial hits at the box office.

Talking of popularity. Looks like Sanju has been liked more than Padmavaat. If the recent rating on IMDB is anything to go by, then Deepika's Padmaavat has recieved a rating of 7.4 while Sanju has been rated 8.8 on the same site which is huge for any Ranbir film. Deepika is one of the leading ladies in Bollywood who also among the highest paid actresses in the Hindi film industry.

Sanju is creating waves at the box office. Since its opening, Sanju went on to break several records at the ticket window. In few areas, Sanju has even surpassed Salman Khan's recently released Race 3 which was a sequel to Race 2.

Although Sanju has failed to topple Baahubali records it has managed to bag top position by dethroning all other Bollywood films. Ranbir Kapoor is basking in the success of Sanju and it is his first film to enter the Rs 300 Cr Club.

Sanju is a biopic of Sanjay Dutt and revolves aorund how he overcame hardships in life after his drug addiction and jail life. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Sanju also stars Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles.

Coming to Deepika's Padmavaat, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial is an epic drama which starred Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. It became the first blockbuster hit of 2018 in Bollywood.
