Baahubali 2 Leads Highest Weekend Grossers

Prabhas became a Pan Indian appeal after the Baahubali franchise. It is a known fact that Baahubali has shattered all records at the box office and created a new benchmark not only for Tollywood films but even for Bollywood films. Prabhas gave a tough competition to Bollywood A-listers like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan with Baahubali. Those who don't know, Salman and Aamir films do well at the box office thanks to the huge fan following as well as their right choice of the script.

Baahubali-The Conclusion: The film was a sequel to Baahubali-The Beginning, where director Rajamouli left the audiences curious as to why Kattappa killed Baahubali. People waited with bated breath to know the answer to the question. By the opening weekend itself, Baahubali 2 had managed to collect Rs 128 Cr at the Indian box office.

Sanju: Ranbir Kapoor was the first film which came close to breaking the collections raked in by Baahubali but the film was able to collect Rs 120 Cr in its opening weekend at the box office. The film is a biopic of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. The film is attempting to shatter all records at the box office. Ranbir is back on the success path with Sanju which is also the biggest blockbuster hit in his career.

Tiger Zinda Hai: This film was no less than a box office hit. It was a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger which was released in the year 2012. It also marked the comeback film of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as the lead pair. Tiger Zinda Hai earned Rs 114 cr at the domestic box office on its opening day.

Sultan: The film features Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. It was a sports drama where Bhai was seen playing a wrestler and the film collected Rs 104 Cr at the Indian box office.

Aamir Khan: Dangal was loved by not only the Indian audiences but also the Chinese audiences who heaped praises on Aamir's performance in the film. The film went on to collect Rs 104 Cr at the ticket window.

Looks like Baahubali continues to stay on top and is dominating Hindi films, which is a great achievement for Prabhas as well as the Telugu film industry. Thanks to Rajamouli who made Telugu film industry proud with such a gigantic project like Baahubali.
