Sanju First Weekend Collections Joins Rs 100 Cr club

Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju which was released in theatres last week is doing unstoppable business at the box office. Ranbir's performance in Sanju has been lauded by several Bollywood celebrities including his supposed girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. Sanju officially joined the Rs 50 Cr club on its second day itself and went on to earn Rs 73.35 Cr at the domestic box office.

According to reliable sources, Sanju has entered the Rs 100 Cr club in the opening weekend at the box office.

Sanju chronicles the story of veteran actor Sanjay Dutt his jail term, father-son bonding and the actor's ups and downs in life. People who have watched the film are raving about Ranbir Kapoor and also the way Hirani has handled the real life story of Sanjay Dutt, which was mired in myths and controversies. Thanks to the audiences who are spreading positive word of mouth about the film, people in large numbers are thronging theatres.

Sanju has managed to collect Rs 117 Cr in its opening weekend at the Indian box office. It is worth mentioning here that Sanju has surpassed Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai first weekend collections by racking up Rs 117 Cr.
