After Shankarabharanam, Nikhil Siddharth is back to test his luck again. Will he be able to repeat the magic woven in ‘Karthikeya’? Let us get into the details…

Story:

The movie begins at a registrar office with Arjun (Nikhil) waiting for the bride-to-be to turn up, however he is ditched by her. Following this he decides not to fall for anyone. He goes to Kerala along with Vennela Kishore to get him psychological treatment, as he behaves strangely. During the trip, he encounters Nithya (Hebah Patel) and falls head over heels for her. But the twist comes as Nithya departs from Kerala without informing Arjun. The love-struck hero begins to search for her and in the process he discovers that she has been possessed by a spirit. He then comes across Amala (Nandita Shweta) and again falls in love but this time for Amala.

The movie is about a woman, who is dead, comes back as a spirit and takes another form to get back to his love. How do things fall in place for a spirit to be in love with a human forms the crux of the story.

Performance:

Nikhil has proved his mettle again, showing that he is the king of the thriller genre. The movie unravels that Nikhil is growing as an actor, who made a smart move after Swamy Ra Ra and Karthikeya. His comic timings and horror scenes make it a worth watch. Coming to Hebah, she has maintained her bubbly image and ease in acting, while Nandita Shweta comes as a surprise who doesn’t go overboard in her ghostly spirit.

Analysis:

The first half-an-hour seems to be sluggish but then the flick kick starts with amalgamation of suspense, romance and comedy. The first half is entertaining, with Vennela Kishore and Satya's satirical puns. The movie takes you on a roller coaster ride. Dealing with horror genre is a difficult one, as it must engaging plus having the suspense elements too. And kudos to filmmaker Anand for putting all the cinematic elements together and weaving the tale well. Kerala landscape is a visual treat presented by cinematographer Sai Sriram. Music too has been rendered well.

Verdict:

A must watch film for the weekend, chuck off few boring scenes, rest is filled with hilarious element.
