Duped By Woman, Man Ends Life After Strangling His Family To Death
Tiruchy: A man allegedly strangled his wife and children to death before committing suicide at his residence at Srirangam in Tiruchirappalli of Tamil Nadu. According to the police, victims were identified as wife Devanai(34) son Gunasekhar(7), daughter Nishanti(2), were all strangled to death by Viswanath(35).
Viswanath, who had been running a footwear shop in Tiruvadanai, had developed friendship with a lady, who is a dance teacher. Viswanath is learnt to have lent Rs 75 lakh by borrowing from his kin to the woman for setting up a dance school in the city. The woman duped Viswanath and made away with the money.
Learning that he was duped by the lady, Viswanath came to his house on Tuesday and took the extreme step of ending his life after killing his family members.
The police said that Viswanath felt pressure from the his relatives after he had failed to pay monthly interest on time for the money he borrowed. The Srirangam police swung into action to nab the lady. A case has been registered.
