Kurnool: In a spine-chilling incident, a man in an inebriated state killed his wife. The accused identified as Raghu has been arrested by the police, who are probing the matter. The incident took place at NTR building in Kurnool.

According to the police, Raghu married Swathi three years ago. The couple had a boy. On Friday, following a heated argument, Raghu beat Swathi killing her. Swathi died instantaneously after bleeding profusely. The sent waves of panic in the area.

Meanwhile, few days ago in Hyderabad, a man killed his wife and then tried to kill himself. The incident occurred in Rajendranagar where the police arrested the accused. According to the police, the culprit has been identified as Borah (40), a native of Arunachal Pradesh, who was working with a security agency in Patancheruvu. He was married to Tutu. The couple had three children. It is learnt that Tutu was an alcoholic and used to stay away from home for long spells. Her husband tried to mend her ways but failed to do so.

Over a period of time Borah started suspecting his wife's behaviour. Three days ago Tutu left the house and came back on Saturday morning. Immediately they had an argument, and in a fit of anger the husband hit his wife to a wall. Tutu started bleeding. It is said that he later strangled her neck with a duppatta killing her on the spot. Later he tried to kill himself but couldn't do so.

Noticing the incident, the relatives and neighbours complained to the police, who arrested the suspect. The court has remanded him to judicial custody.
