Downpour Hits Downtown Hyderabad Again

Hyderabad: Heavy rains have once again hit the downtown areas of Hyderabad on Friday afternoon. Heavy mid-day rains lashed Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Kukatpally, Koti, Khairatabad, Miyapur, Erragadda, Nampally, Gachibowli, Manikonda and Madhapur areas.

Many low-lying areas in the city were inundated and roads had standing water leaving the motorists stranded on the roads. This led to massive traffic jams for over one hour in Punjagutta, Begumpet, Khairatabad and other areas.

Torrential rains have been lashing both the Telugu states for four days.
