Hitting out at the TDP government for showing scant respect to the institution of Governor, YSR Congress has said those who are not in sync with Raj Bhavan should quit as it would be unconstitutional to criticize the executive head of the State.
“Cabinet ministers and Chief Minister speaking ill of Governor is unconstitutional and they should immediately quit and should not malign the high office and Chandrababu Naidu should demit office and come clear of the charges instead of resorting to useless and inflammatory talk,” party General Secretary Dharmana Prasada Rao told reporters on Wednesday.
The cabinet or a political party passing a resolution giving a clean chit to Chandrababu Naidu or accusing the Governor of baseless charges will have no effect as it is the work of the investigation agencies to carry out their task.
“The powers vested with the Governor will be exercised by him as and when he deems fit and TDP need not dictate terms and give a hype to their perceived constitutional crisis,” he said adding these are cheap tricks to deviate the attention of the people from the grave crime and investigation.
“The Chief Minister along with his cabinet is busy in only the cash for vote scam and how to wriggle out it and has left the governance in the lurch. Though the SLBC meeting for credit planning was scheduled in May, it could not be held and farmers are a worried lot about the availability of loan, quality seeds and fertilizers.
It is better if this team hands over the charge to someone efficient to run the government and Chandrababu Naidu cooperates with the law enforcing authorities in the case,” he said.
