Dishonour to Tricolour As AP CM Salutes It Without Unfurling The Flag

Vijayawada: In what appears to be utter dishonour to the National Flag, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu along with senior officials have sung the national anthem even before the tricolour could unfurl in the air.

In an event that was held in Vijayawada on Saturday, Chandrababu was the chief guest for sports event wherein he had to unfurl the National Flag along with flags of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh and All India Civil Cricket Tournament. However, when the rope was pulled, it was stuck thus stopping the flag to unfurl.

Unmindful of this, the Chief Minister continued to unfurl the other two flags of SAAP and the cricket tourney and saluted in unison as well as sang the National Anthem.

Although, singing National Anthem or saluting the flag without unfurling it, is against the law, no official at the venue had the concern to fix the problem. A video of this has gone viral on social media inviting severe criticism from people.
