Dinakaran’s Presence Keeps The Rumour Mill Busy

Chennai: The already steaming conundrum of Tamil Nadu politics is abuzz with the constant presence of TTV Dinakaran besides AIADMK general secretary Sasikala Natarajan, the man banished by late Jayalalithaa from Poes Garden.

Several years ago Jayalalithaa had banished Sasikala and her relatives from Poes Garden charging them with conspiring against her. However, Sasikala made truce with the late chief minister but the ban on her other relatives remained. One of them is Sasikala's nephew TTV Dinakaran. However, since Jayalalithaa's demise he is constantly seen beside Sasikala at all party meetings. Talk on his presence reached a crescendo when he accompanied Sasikala to Raj Bhavan on Thursday evening for the meeting with Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao.

In view of the rapidly changing political climate in Tamil Nadu, the presence and role of Dinakaran is one of the most debated topics. Strangely, however, he has not spoken a word at any of the party meetings or official engagements of the government.
