Telangana employees union leader G.Devi Prasad was disappointed man with the TRS leadership denying him a chance to contest as the party candidate from Medak parliamentary constituency in the by-election.
The by-election became necessary here as Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, who won from there, had resigned to take over as the chief minister of the state.
Devi Prasad was seen as the frontrunner for the seat. But, the name of Kotta Prabhakar Reddy came into fore and his name was finalized for the seat.
Prabhakar Reddy’s name was finalized after several rounds of discussions by the party committee.
With this, Devi Prasad was disappointed. It is reported that KCR promised him an MLC seat in the MLAs quota soon.
