David Warner Writes To Cricket Fans, Regrets Mistake

David Warner, cricket icon and Australian opener, apologized to cricket fans for mistakes which have damaged cricket, referring to the ball-tampering incident.

In a tweet the former captain of Hyderabad Sunrisers apologized for his part, assuming responsibility for his role in the ugly incident in the South Africa-Australia test. Warner's tweet added that he understood the distress the ball tampering episode had caused to fans everywhere.

David Warner said that he was returning to Sydney from South Africa and "would need to take a deep breath" and spend time with his family, friends and trusted advisers. He admitted that their actions had besmirched the fair name of cricket. The swashbuckling Aussie opener promised fans that they would hear from him soon.
