Danam Naagender held for rally in support of Telangana bandh

Naagender, along with his supporters, was taking out a rally on Friday morning from Charminar to Secundrabad requesting people’s support to make the upcoming Telangana bandh a success.

He was stopped by the police who said that he was not granted permission by the government to take out the rally. An irate Naagender along with Ex MP, Anjan Kumar Yadav, party leaders and cadres staged a sit-in protest in the middle of the road. Following which there was a huge traffic jam.

Police later arrested him and his supporters and took them to Kanchana Bagh police station.

Stepping up attack on the TRS government over farmers' suicide issues, the Congress, TDP-BJP combine and other opposition parties called for Telangana bandh on October 10 in support of their demand to fulfill farm loan waiver promise at one go rather than in phases.

Naagender later said that he wanted to take out a peaceful rally though was not granted permission by the concerned authority.
