HYDERABAD: With the arrest of four people, Cyberabad police have cracked the murder of veterinary doctor P Priyanka Reddy (26) , within 24 hours of her burnt body being found near an under bridge of Chatanpally village near the ORR at Shamshabad on Thursday morning.

As per details , four people including a lorry driver, cleaner and two others - all under the age group of 20 -25 years of age, were arrested for the rape and murder of the victim. It was said to be a pre-planned rape and murder and they were said to have kept watch on her movements.Her vehicle tyre which she had parked near the Tondupalli toll plaza ,was punctured deliberately and she was unwittingly trapped by them.

Under the supervision of V C Sajjanar, Police Commissioner, Cyberabad , Shamshabad DCP N Prakash Reddy formed 15 special teams to solve the case. They had collected footage from surveillance cameras near the toll gate and the stretch between the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway. Two videos of Priyanka shows her riding alone towards the toll gate, the other shows her talking to an unidentified person.

Cyberabad police also recovered the victim's inner clothes, footwear and a liquor bottle near the toll plaza, where Priyanka Reddy had parked her two-wheeler.

As per details , she was forcibly taken by these four men who were drunk at that time, at around 9:40 PM, after she made her last call to her sister Bhavya Reddy. As per the post mortem reports she was said to have been gang raped,tortured, before they strangled and killed her in the empty land behind the Tondupally toll plaza at the Outer Ring Road at Shamshabad.They had first tried to break into an empty shed , but as they couldn't open the door, they tried to push her through the window , but that wasn't possible either, so they committed the act in the open place itself. This was a plot of empty land very close to the Toll plaza and was a busy road.

They had taken the body and her two-wheeler in a lorry. They removed the license plates and left the vehicles 40 kms away from the site and knowing that the Chatanpally under bridge near Shadnagar town in Ranga Reddy district was a desolated place,they went there. After which they wrapped her body in a bed sheet, poured kerosene and burnt her.They left the body burning there and escaped .

Four accused arrested

Police believe that a lorry driver named Mohhammad Pasha from Narayanpet in Mahababub Nagar district was the main suspect.

A driver named Jollu Naveen from Gudigandla, cleaner Chinnthakunta Chennakesavulu, one more cleaner named Jollu Siva we also arrested along with Mohhammad Pasha. One of them was said to be a minor also.
