Tribal Woman Beaten Up, Paraded Half-naked For Eloping With Man From Another Tribe.

A Young Tribal woman was beaten up and paraded half-naked on the streets of a village by her family members because she fell in love and eloped with a man from a different tribe.

According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday in Madhya Pradesh's Alirajpur district. The young Tribal woman (19), belongs to the Bhilala community. She was in love with a man from another community and eloped with him.

After learning about this, her family members became furious and tracked down young woman and caught her. They brought back her to her village and beat her up severely with a stick and paraded half-naked on the roads of the village. The incident came to light after a video of the torture went viral on WhatsApp.

Talking about the case, Alirajpur SP said that police started an investigation after the video came out in the open. The incident took place at Temachi village, but nobody had filed any complaint so far, he further added that they could not record the statements of the girl or her father as they were missing.
