Wolverhampton:A 22 year-old victim of an act of revenge porn from Wolverhampton, lodged a complaint with the UK justice system against her ex-boyfriend for sending intimate footage to her mother and three of his friends.

According to the reports, her ex-boyfriend , Josh Potts was handed a restraining order and ten months detention in a youth offenders’ institution after being convicted under revenge porn laws of UK.

The two had been friends since primary school and began dating in February 2015. After splitting up in 2016, they both agreed to delete images and videos of the two. But Potts restored it from his deleted folder.

After a few days, she began dating some other person. Potts got to know about this and couldn’t control himself. He started threatening her by sending their intimate images and abusive messages and also shared her personal pictures across social media platforms anonymously.

She went to the police and they gave Potts a caution to stay away from her.

She added: 'This isn't something all mum’s experience. He tried to ruin every aspect of my life, including my relationship with my mum. But she was there for me every step of the way. It scarred me for life”.

She also advised others not to share their intimate pictures and videos with their partners.
